CONSTANT SPRING & HARBOUR VIEW CONTINUE WINNING WAYS

Maxfield (red) scored an easy 3-0 win over Kingston Commissioners on Sunday at UWI Oval.
Debutants Constant Spring went to the top of Zone B with an emphatic 3-0 win over Eastern at Duhaney Park as round 4 of the NCB 24 Hour Top-Up masters football league continued on Sunday. Goals by Nick Feanny in the 30th minute, Lincoln Taff in the 69th minute, and another by Gregory McLean were enough to give Spring a perfect four-from-four record, and the pole position in Zone A with 12 points.
In the Duhaney Park feature game, champions Park Rovers bested Lion King 2-1 for their third win in Zone B. Garfield Coke and Gary Wigam scored for the champions while Dean Robinson netted for the Lions.

Harbour View continued their winning ways when they blanked Real Mona 2-0 at Buttercup Park. Striker Mark Wignal scored in the 2nd minute and Michael Campbell added another in the 52nd to give The Stars of the East a comfortable 2-0 win and sole leadership of Zone A with a perfect 12 points from four games. In the Buttercup Park curtain raiser, Thunderbolts of St. Catherine shutout Professionals 4-0 on a first-half double by Garfield Batts in the 3rd and the 27th minutes. Clayton Wallace (14th minute) and David Jones in the 68th Minute completed the scoring for Thunderbolts.

In the game of the week, UWI Pelicans came from behind to edged Christian Ambassadors 2-1 at the UWI oval. After a goalless first-half, Barrington Simpson sent the Ambassadors ahead 1-0 in the 48th minute, but Everal Ellington leveled the score 1-1 in the 49th minute, and a 60th minute strike by Rohan Rosseau gave the Pelicans the hard earned 2-1 win. In the UWI oval opener, Maxfield scored an easy 3-0 win over Kingston Commissioners on Maurice McKnight's brace in the 46th and 54th minutes, while Anthony Lowe added another in the 59th minute.
St. George's (blue) 4 Santos 1
Up at the Barbican oval, Barbican stopped JDF 2-0 on goals in each half by Michael McIntosh (24th minute) and Michael Tulloch in the 58th minute. In the Barbican opening game, Kush and Shortwood played to a very entertaining 0-0 draw.

Down at the Bell Chung oval, St. George's came back from a goal down to roll over Santos 4-1 and register their first win of the season. Raymond Smith scored a remarkable free-kick to spot Santos a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute. But a Steve Thomas equalizer in the 19th minute, and three unanswered second-half goals by Kenneth Ellis in the 46th minute, Rudolph Nunes (75th), and Anthony McIntosh in the 76th minute proved too much for Santos. And, Howard Trout's 60th minute strike game Washington Strikers a 1-0 win over M.V. Exodus in the Bell Chung opener.
The Breezy Castle double-header was postponed.
